Well to begin with you will need to have an email address with your company domain, addresses tied to yahoo.com, hotmail.com and gmail.com will not work. Then follow the simple steps below and you will have created a Company page in no time.
1) You will need to go to the ‘Companies’ tab and select it. Then you will need to click on Add Company
2) Then you will be brought to the following page, where you will be asked to Insert the company name and your email address at the company. Tick the box that verifies that you are a representative of the company too.
3) If you company email address is not a confirmed email address on your Linked In Profile, a confirmation email will be sent to the company email address. The email text will include a link to log in to your LinkedIn account. Be sure to log in to LinkedIn with your current primary email address as this will confirm you email address and add the email address to your account.
4) If your email address is confirmed, then you will be taken to the ‘Create a company’ page that will allow you to enter basic information about your company, like it’s description, number of employees, industry etc. You will be able to add a logo, location and even a feed for your company blog. The Products & Services area allows you to highlight products / services relevant to your target market and also view recommendations of these products / services.
5) Click on ‘Create a Company’ once you have completed all the required fields. Also, ensure to fill out the product and services area in great detail.
